Ah, Spring, it’s finally here! Can’t you imagine now that every day will be perfect! The world is soon abloom again! Another year of birds chattering, chickens and ducks laying, each day warmer and longer, and the good earth on our hands and boots again. Chesapeake! The Land of Pleasant Living!

With the spring equinox a few days past, this is the perfect opportunity to unveil our membership and allotment program. Having a third space that has nothing to do with work or home is so important to the psyche. Growing vegetables, taking walks, or just relaxing in a rocking chair and listening to the sounds of Calvert Creek could be just what you need. Maybe you’ve always wanted to try your hand at a three sisters garden. Maybe the thought of eating warm tomatoes from the garden has been keeping you awake at night. Being a SlackWorks member could be the answer.

Lets meet at the manor house. From there we will gather tools, seeds, and seedlings ( that have been working hard to grow their big plant leaves!) Take the afternoon to plot your lot! Working in a 12x24 lot, we can plant those spring veggies. Join us after for family style soup and bread and maybe even a glass of wine as we watch the sunset.
